Quick Unlock Code and Master Password Required to Launch App?

In the old app, I could set the quick unlock and it was the only thing I needed to get into the app when I launched it.
In 4 it seems to always require the master password (sometimes in addition to the quick unlock code) unless the app is running in the background.
I would like to be able to fully quit the app and only need to enter the 4 digit quick unlock code when I open it again instead of being forced to enter the longer and more time consuming master password every time.
Is this no longer possible or do I have something set wrong?

    Hi @nofd766‌

The previous version of 1Password on the iPhone offered two levels of security, low and high. Low could be accessed with the 4-digit code, and high needed the Master Password. This also meant that items in low security were not protected by encryption, as the encryption requires the Master Password to be decrypted.

As attacks have become more frequent in recent years, we decided to do away with the low and high security paradigm and use high security for everything. This does come at the cost of requiring the Master Password more often. We replaced the low security function with Quick Unlock Code, which is used as a brief convenience for when you need to switch to another app and back to 1Password quickly.

We always have to balance convenience and security, and sometimes the scale needs to tip. When that happens, security usually wins. And this time it did. We want to provide the best security possible, and these days, protecting any data with just a 4 digit code for anything more than brief moments is just not a good idea - especially on a mobile device that can be easily lost or stolen. This is why if the Quick Unlock Code is mistyped even once, 1Password locks down with the Master Password.

There are ways to have a very secure Master Password that is also pretty easy to type on any keyboard. To learn more about that, please check out our security expert's article on moving toward better Master Passwords. http://blog.agilebits.com/2011/06/21/toward-better-master-passwords/
