I may be missing something simple here, but I thought I'd share this in case it helps anyone else – and perhaps the team may think it's something that needs to be fixed.

If I search my Logins with the criteria 'Password begins with', I'll see a filtered set of results, with each Login's password starting with the text I specify. All good.

If I then 'open and fill' one of the sites shown in the filtered list and change my password there (and update the Login when prompted), the filtered list in 1Password then resets to show all Logins again even though the 'Password begins with' search criteria is still displayed. I would have thought that the filter should still apply and simply live update to show one fewer item, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I can get around this by re-entering the filter criteria but that shouldn't really be necessary.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write in about this. I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble here. This is actually a known issue that our developers are working to solve. You're right, re-entering the filter criteria shouldn't be necessary, and I've mentioned to them that you're keen to see this solved soon. :)
