Domain Matching...can't figure out why 1P does what it does

I have just updated to 1Password 4 via the App Store (so I don't have 4.2 yet).

When I go to the URL for our support desk:

https://support.ephox.com/access/unauthenticated?return_to=https://support.ephox.com/rules/views/2655963

I would expect 1P to show me this option as the first (and only one) as this precise URL is what is stored in 1P for this site.

Instead I see 5 other options for sites that all follow the general form of http://XXXXX.ephox.com/... but none of them are part of support.ephox.com.

I am confused as to why 1P would not show me the one and only option that completely matches the URL w/o having to first click the Show 3 More Items text in the menu that 1P provides. I am aware that (once I am on 4.2) I can enable the lenient matching option but that does not address why 1P will not show me the one precise match.

    Hi @mfromin,

Prior to version 4.2, 1Password did not pay attention to subdomains. That's why you're seeing all subdomain.ephox.com logins even when you're specifically on support.ephox.com.

1Password 4.2 and later matches subdomains, which means you'll only see your support.ephox.com login when on support.ephox.com. :)

And, the next update (4.3) is coming very soon to the Mac App Store.
