1password will not install

I have just purchased 1password for mac (family edition) and after I install the application (as per your website instructions) and try and install the licence I get to the welcome page and then no further. I keep getting the following error even though there is no master password set up on my computer with this programme. As you can see 1password's menu icons show on the top of my screen but I cannot set up a new vault or master password. I had a previous version (which I have deleted from my system (part of a family version from my brother). This version supposedly wrote itself over the previous version, however, all my old passwords are no longer on my macbook pro (luckily they are backed up on my iphone). I have been trying to install this new version for about two days with no luck. Please adivse.

In hopes that someone can please help I have added additional screenshots of the welcome page and preferences after installation. This is as far as I can get in the installation process. I never get the option to put in a new password or use an old one. I can access the menu at the top of the application and have included various screenshots to show the parts of the application I can access. In addition, the app will not accept my licence which I purchased this morning.

Please tell us:

1. where the old version you had came from (Mac app store or AgileBits store) and what version it was (1P3 or 1P4); and
2. where you got the new version (Mac app store or AgileBits store).

Once we know that someone will be able to tell you how to remove fully the previous version (if necessary) and then how to start over.
