Auto-filling not working from the app when I "Save New Login" from the pop-up

I visited a couple of sites that weren't previously entered into the app and 1P4 asked me if I wanted to save the new login. I said yes, then I saw the info was added when I launched the app. But when I clicked on the site, it took me to the log-in page, but stops short of adding in my info and logging me in. It works fine when I go to the site from 1Password mini and it works from the iPhone app too.

I am using Chrome as my primary browser and haven't tried on anything else.

Thanks for your help!

Have you tried re-creating and saving the login manually? That does sometimes solve problems like this.

    Hi Stephen_C
I am having the same problem. And, re-creating and saving the login manually did not fix it.
    Please help.

Also, the autosave tool that I downloaded and installed did not help with this issue.

Yes, Stephen_C, I just tried re-creating the login as you linked to. Won't work. Am I limited to manually entering in info within the app or is there another fix?

So, I have multiple monitors and I had been having this problem when using the main app from the external monitor, and running the browser window on the main iMac monitor. Strangely, the app is now launching and filing all info, but only if I use 1Password from the main iMac window. I've read about multiple monitor issues on here, but those seem to be related to the mini app and windows running off the side. This is not what's happening in my issue and I'm hoping someone sees this to address this is a future bug update.

    Hi @Smig21,

It sounds to me like you might have a conflict between multiple versions of 1Password here. Have you switched from the Mac App Store to the webstore version at any time, or from the beta to the release version?

Please take a peek in your Applications folder and let me know if you have more than one instance of 1Password and/or 1Password 4 there, or if you notice multiple keys (the 1Password Mini icon) in your menu bar.

If this is the case, in order to give you instructions on how to get things straightened out, I'll need to know which version of 1Password you wish to continue using: did you purchase 1Password from the Mac App Store or the AgileBits website?

    Hi Megan,

Nope, I'm a brand new customer and downloaded 1P4 from the AgileBits webstore. Didn't have a problem installing and only 1 key in the menu bar. It's my home Mac that I'm having the issue on. I'm at work now and have not installed 1P4 on that Mac yet, but I'm curious to see if the same problem occurs. Unless you advise otherwise.

    Hi @Smig21,

I'm sorry to hear that this didn't help track down your issue. Now, our developers have done a great job of squashing bugs lately, and version 4.3 for 1Password is now available as a free update! Please ensure that you are updated to the latest and greatest version of 1Password 4 and let me know if you are still seeing this issue. If you are, we will of course investigate further. :)
