cannot get 1PW mini to save a password

I have installed 1Password for Mac V.4.2.2 onto a MacBook Air running OSX 10.8.x. I had v3 on my machine but never got it set up before I went to v4.2.2.

I deleted the old browser extensions.
I have downloaded and installed the 1password mini extension into my browsers.
I have restarted my machine and went to a website and signed on. 1PW mini popped up and asked if I wanted to save the password just like it is supposed to, it asked for my master password. It typed the master.
When I enter it I get the message in the attached screenshot.
It never connects. It just keeps up ticking up the number. I don’t know what is is trying to connect to. I have tried this with 1PW running and not running.
Where do I go from here?

    Hi @auc,

    It appears that you still have the old version 3 browser extension installed. You will need the version 4 browser extension if you're using 1Password 4.

    First, please uninstall any existing 1Password extensions from your browser.

    Then, download and install the new extension from here: https://agilebits.com/browsers/index.html
