Software Licenses - save registration history

I would really like to see the ability to update / maintain a history for software licenses. When a new version comes out that requires a purchase the only options are to overwrite some data on the previous record to be up to date with the latest purchase (license keys, purchase date, etc), or to make a new entry for the updated purchase (essentially duplicating the record). Because I prefer to keep track of past purchased licenses, I would really like to be able to save the previous purchase info and enter new purchase info in the same record.

For now, I would recommend adding a new section to the existing item and using custom fields. I hope that helps!
