Can 1Password 3 Mac sync with version 4 on iOS?

I have a buddy that can't upgrade beyond OS X 10.7, so his only option is to run 1Password 3. He has 1Password 4 on his iPhone. Is there any way to sync between the two?

    Yes, sync through Dropbox works fine with that combination. iCloud isn't an option, though. Until about a weeks ago, my spouse was doing exactly that, even though she could have upgraded to version 4 for Mac earlier.
