Now I have both and do not see any way to delete as I thought this would be automatic, have a duplicate mini as well. Documentation does not show how to delete old and why doesn't the new version read and delete the old one one?

Loved the product but this is NOT a good start !

    Hi @moe,

Can you tell me where you bought 1Password 4? At the Mac App Store or our web store? Also, did you ever use the trial version of 1Password 4?

1Password 4 should automatically detect the data file from 1Password 3 and start asking you for the master password to unlock the data file. Majority of the reports we've seen from users, the upgrade went through successfully.

Generally, it should be left up to the users to delete the older app and its data file if they're happy with the new version. We do not want to delete anything without your intervention nor is it recommended.

Imagine if the upgrade didn't go well and you can't switch back to 1Password 3 to keep using your data while figuring out how to fix the new one? We have to be cautious here considering the sensitive nature of your 1Password data.

In addition, many times, we can't automate everything. The browser extensions for an example, must be done manually since they're handled by the browsers, not by us.

We have an uninstaller app for 1Password 3 here but please do not do anything until you're absolutely sure 1Password 4 is working perfectly.

In 1Password 4 right now, do you see your data? If so, then you should be okay here in terms of the data. Now, can you tell me what you mean by duplicate mini, where do you see duplicates?
