Is there an option to have newly saved logins truncate the full URL to the DNS name of the server?

Going through Watchtower to change my passwords I've noticed a lot of saved websites that contain very long URLs that were saved from the initial site registration. Often these URLs are invalid as they contain on-time server-side IDs, or have the word /register in it. Hardly any of my saved sites need anything past the top-level domain.

    Hi @Solipsism‌,

I'm happy to say that the most recent beta for 4.4.1 adds the following ability:

    • Go-and-Fill will try to open the home page instead of registration or checkout URLs.

That said, going one step further and actually truncating the URLs that are saved is an interesting idea. We would have to be quite careful here, as we wouldn't want to truncate login page URLs, which could be on the longer side.
