What are you trying to do? You won't see your iPhone in the sidebar of 1P4 unless you have created something like a secure note which contains your iPhone's details.
Are you trying to sync between your Mac and your iPhone? If so, tell us how you want to sync (iCloud, Dropbox or wifi) and someone will help you. It will also help us to help you if you tell us which versions of 1P4 you are using on the Mac and on the iPhone (they will be different versions).

You need to have version 4 for iOS on your phone in order to use wifi sync or (I believe) iCloud sync with version 4 on your Mac.

Hi @alzaba,
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with 1Password here. I'm happy to help get things straightened out for you here, but as @Stephen_C suggested, we do need a bit more detail than was in your original post in order to determine where things are getting tangled up.
Yes - am trying to sync via iCloud - V3.6.0 on phone, V4.4 on Mac.
Now, if you have 1Password 3.6 on your iOS device, you will be unable to use iCloud sync, as iCloud was a new feature introduced in version 4. If the iOS device(s) you want to run 1Password on are running iOS 6+, the best solution is to move to 1Password 4 for iOS.
You can check out 1Password 4 for iOS in the App Store:

Unfortunately, Wi-Fi sync was re-designed between 1Password 3 and 1Password 4 so you will need to have the same version on all devices to use Wi-Fi sync. If you would like to continue using 1Password 3 on your iOS devices, here's how we can keep things synced up:
- Download a legacy version of 1Password 3
- Use Dropbox to keep 1Password 3 for Mac in sync with 1Password 4 for Mac
- Use Version 3's Wi-Fi Sync to keep 1Password 3 for iOS and 1Password 3 for Mac synced up.
I hope this helps, but we're here if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the help - didn't mean to "yell" at you - but this stuff I think works OK but is not at all easy to install for any kind of newly - thanks again - it worked like a charm with your input but the software should "speak foe itself"
