New user setup

I downloaded 1Password 4 Mac today from the Apple site. I opened the download and created a master password, then shut down my computer. I have the 1Password file in my applications folder. When I try to open it, I get one of two messages: 1. The application cannot be opened. 1712. or 2. 1Password failed to connect to 1Password Mini. Contact Agilebits support. I can't get past this.

    I'm so sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting 1Password 4 set up. Please try this:

    • Open 1Password.
    • Click the 1Password menu, hold down the Control key, and select Quit 1Password and 1Password mini.
    • Restart the Mac.
    • Relaunch 1Password.

    This should get everything behaving properly. If you're still having difficulties after this, please let me know and we'll investigate further!
