1PW updated, now won't run

This morning 1Password asked to update, just like it's done a hundred times before. This time, upon completing the update, I got an error stating that "1Password failed to connect to 1Password Mini - Please restart 1Password". Restarting has no effect. I have to force quit just to get out of the program and I'm locked out of everything...including my 1Password support password...fun. Any help?

    Hi @Bongoboy02‌,

    I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble here. Let's try this:

    • Open 1Password.
    • Click the 1Password menu, hold down the Control key, and select Quit 1Password and 1Password mini.
    • Drag the 1Password application to the Trash (please note your data is stored in a different location - this will not delete your data)
    • Empty the Trash
    • Restart the Mac
    • Download a fresh copy of 1Password either from the Mac App Store or our downloads page
