Safari extention wil not open

When I click the key button in Safari I get:
Safari can not open 'one password4-extention://activate/Safari' because OS X internet addresses beginning 'onepassword4-extention:' not recognized.
I have already reinstalled the 1Password extension on my Mac and it still doesn't work.
In Chrome it works perfectly!

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with the Safari extension right now. Did you restart your computer during the process of reinstalling the extension?
