"hideonload" field not being filled in by 1password

Hello.

I've had this problem for a while and I've just been looking through the forums, without luck.
On this website https://www1.pole-emploi.fr/espacepersonnel/identification there is a third field (post code) that only appears once an 8 character username and 6 character password are entered. I've looked at the HTML and it's in a < div id="hideOnLoad" style="visibility: hidden;" > section at the page load.

1password still won't fill it in properly, stopping after the first 2 fields, and not entering the post code.
Attached below are screen shots to illustrate.

1password has never been able to consistently fill in this page. Often it would fill in the fields in the wrong order, but the last few months the web masters must have changed something because 1password no longer seems to invert fields.

I just tried creating a new login by filling out the fields and choosing "Save new login" from the safari extension before hitting submit. I can see in the new login item's form details that the 3 fields are indeed saved and named correctly, however it treats the third field (the hidden at load one) as the username instead of the 1st field. The password is correctly marked.

Thanks for your help.

    Hi @initialsbb‌

I'm sorry to hear that this Login is giving you trouble. Now, I know you mentioned that you just recently tried to save a new Login manually, but it just so happens that we just released an updated version of the extension, that has some vastly improved filling capabilities. Could you try to save a new Login one more time? Let's try this:

    • Edit the login that you currently have for this website by appending an "Old" to the title - just so you can tell them apart.
    • Visit the site and fill in the fields you want filled. Do NOT click the login button.
    • Click the 1Password extension, and unlock it if necessary.
    • Click the gear icon (or vault icon if multiple vaults are enabled) in the upper right corner.
    • Select Save new login.
    • Give the entry a unique and identifiable title.
    • Click Save.
    • Revisit the site and see if 1Password fills in the site correctly.

When I saved a Login using these steps, 1Password correctly identified the fields. I'm hoping this works for you as well, but please let me know if you're still seeing strange behaviour and we'll investigate further!

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I updated the browser extension to version 4.2 (always thought update was included with 1password updates).

Tried again with both Safari and Chrome, both created new login items that mark the 3rd field as the username, and still only fill in the first two fields :(

Could this be the web master's doing ? To be fair this site is used to confirm that once a month we are indeed human beings alive and breathing and not a bot ;)

As a workaround I edit the login item to exclude the third field, and switch it to "Never submit".

    Thanks again.

    Hi @initialsbb,

Could you please confirm that the web form details of your item match this:

I'm not able to fully test it, since I don't have an account, but it appears that the login I created may work.

    Hello!
I just created a new login item and the web form details are being saved, but it is indeed the post code that is being marked as username.
While trying out different things I found that if the username is already entered in on the page, then the third field is revealed, and 1password then fills in and submits the password and post code fields.

Thanks again so much for looking into this. My solution for now is to set the login item to "never submit" and then I just have to type in my post code manually, it's really not a big deal for me.

    Hi @initialsbb‌

Thanks for following up! If the post code is being incorrectly marked as the username, please try editing the details so that the 'username' icon is next to the correct field (as shown in @JasperP's notes). Does this fill correctly?
