If a new user has weak login passwords for sites they use, should the process of creating logins for 1Password include asking 1P to generate a new password for each of these logins and then following the particular site's instructions for making the password change. If the new user does not choose to create these new passwords, does having a group of weak logins in the 1P vault create any real value for the user?

The work flow you describe is the one I used when I adopted 1Password.

About your other question, I'd say weak passwords are just that - weak. It doesn't matter much where you store them. Using 1Password does not provide you with any additional security against bad actors breaking into your web sites. I guess 1Password would allow you to collect them all in one place and prevent casual access to them.

Bottom line from my point of view is that there isn't much value in adopting 1Password if you don't use it to improve your security outside of the application itself.
