1password for iphone - won't accept master password

iOS 7.1.1
1password unlocks on mac with master password
but will not accept master password on iPhone - synced to iCloud

any hints?

    Hi @codyh,

    I'm sorry that you're having trouble here. Have you recently changed your Master Password? Or do you have any non ASCII characters in your Master Password? Please note that at this time we strongly recommend that you use only ASCII characters for your Master Password.

    Hi Megan,
    my password has only ASCII characters, and no I haven't changed it, it still works on the mac version of 1password, but will not work on the iPhone app which I downloaded yesterday and synced to the cloud.
