Recovering data from hard drive with no sync, and can't boot old installation

Hey,

My hard drive half died during the week. I'm using a new MacBook Air now and need to get my 1Password data from the old semi-broken hard drive which I have in an external casing now.

I never set up sync it turns out, so I think that means I won't be able to find a file like *.agilekeychain.

Is there any way I can find my data on the now external hard drive?
