Is it possible to install on a device owned by a minor?

I want to install 1Password on my minor daughter's iPhone, but it looks like the age restrictions are preventing it. Her phone is set to allow all apps, regardless of age requirements, but since her iTunes account was created with her actual age, it looks like we can't override the age limits. Is there any way to install 1Password on a device associated with a minor? (Well, without creating a new apple ID with a fake birthdate...)

I had this issue with my daughter. I just changed my daughters birthday on her iTunes account (yes, it's that easy). I gifted it to her and had issues put it on her iPod Touch, found out that was the issue and just went on her iTunes and change her birthday.

  • Hi folks,

I'm not aware of a solution other than the one @prime‌ mentioned.

    Thanks!

And it's probably the easiest too for @bearklaw You don't want to make a 2nd iTunes just for one app, because that will cause issues.

  • I'd agree. Making a 2nd Apple ID is almost never a good idea.
