Delayed key strokes when adding a new item using the plugin for Safari and Firefox on Mac

I seem that the latest updates to the plugin is having some issues with add new records to the database though the pop-up auto save. It does not do it at all until I click on the down arrow next to the input box. Then it all jumbled and the only thing I can do is click on Not now. Here is a screen shot to show you what is happening visually.

Is there anyway I can revert and re-download the old version?
