Convert logins to other entries?

Is there any way to convert a login entry into another account type (like email account)?

There is no way at present. The problem is that the default fields in different types of item, or account, are not the same so you can't just convert one to another.

This ability has often been requested but it's far from straightforward to implement because of the different default fields I've mentioned.
