1Password 4 installs version 3 Safari extension then reports an error

I uninstalled my browser extensions when I installed 1Password 4, then used the install browser extensions option on the 1Password4 menu to install updated browser extensions. The extension installed for Safari is version 3.9, and 1Password reports that I have an old, incompatible version of 1Password in Safari.

How do I get the correct, version 4, browser extension for Safari?
