Using 1Password brings a "Choose Application" dialogue box [moved to email]

I have version 4.4.1 of 1Password originally obtained and updated by the Mac App Store.

After the last update, I think, 1Password has started showing a "Choose Application" dialogue box when I use the browser plugin. I think this happens with both Safari and Firefox.

I wonder if anyone has a solution?

    I'm sorry the 1Password extension is being uncooperative for you like this in Safari and Firefox. We'd like to take a closer look at your configuration to figure out what's happening. To do that please email us a Diagnostics Report from your Mac, along with a link to this topic and your forum username, to support+forum@agilebits.com.
