License Assigned Incorrectly

Hello!
We purchased five licenses. One of them was assigned to a computer that does not require 1password access. Is there a way to disable the license on this computer so that we don't burn a license by mistake?

Thank you!

    Hello, @msabani!

Thank you for the five license purchase of 1Password! Here's what you can do to "disable/reclaim" one that's been assigned where it's unneeded/unused:

    • If possible, open 1Password 4 on the Mac and press Control-Command-Q (⌃⌘Q) to Quit 1Password and 1Password mini.
    • Open Finder and select Go > Go to Folder… from the menu.
    • Enter this text (easiest to copy & paste) and press the Return (Enter) key:

      ~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4

[make sure to include the leading ~ tilde character]

    • From the Finder window that opens delete this folder, if it exists:

      License

    • Optional: Move the 1Password 4 application (/Applications/1Password 4.app) to Trash.

    • Empty Trash, restart the Mac, then Empty Trash again (if non-empty).

    And that's it! :)
