Mac Password not recognized

My password for Mac does not work, although the hint is correct and the same password works on my IOS devices.
I've deleted and attempted to reinstall on Mac but it does not change.
What to do?

    Have you changed your master password at all recently? If so, try the old password and see if that works.

    Edit: there are some more tips that may help in this post.
