Passwords

In the application for my Mac I have several logins that show the website icon etc. After a sync to an iPad or iPhone they come across as a new category called Passwords. They are not in the Logins category nor do they have the website icon, or the username. I also cannot add the username to website item to these items. Is there a fix? Thanks

    Hi @Steve_H,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble here. I'm not quite sure I understand the issue here. The Passwords category is where 1Password will store all generated passwords (that have been copied/filled from the 1Password Mini) until they are saved as Logins. The items in the Passwords category can be converted into Logins using 1Password 4 for Mac - just click the 'Convert to Login' button when viewing the entry's details. Unfortunately, at this time, you cannot convert a Password into a Login entry using the iOS app.

You can check to see if these passwords are perhaps stored both in the Passwords category and the Logins category by opening Security Audit in the sidebar (of 1Password for Mac) and selecting 'Duplicate Passwords'. If the password shows up both in the Password category and a Login, you can remove the Password item.

Please let me know if you are seeing a discrepancy between the items on your Mac and your iOS devices. If this is indeed the case, it's likely that sync is getting tangled up somewhere.
