iCloud Sync? [requires using the same Apple ID for iCloud services with each account/device]

I want to use iCloud sync between my Mac and my Wife's Mac. Do we both haver to use the same iCloud account?

If we do, what should I use to sync between our Macs and my iPhone and her iPad? I don't like dropbox on my phone.

    Apple does not currently provide a way for users to share data between multiple iCloud accounts. So, if you would like to use iCloud to sync, you and your wife will need to use the same iCloud account.

    If sharing an iCloud account isn't an option, Dropbox is your most flexible sync option here. You don't even need to have the Dropbox app installed on your phone - 1Password will prompt you to sign in via the Dropbox website and can access your data even if the app is not installed.
