Banking logons/drop down passwords [Resolved]
Hello
I'm struggling to get the Halifax website to work properly. I have read the thread on multi page log ins and have tried to do that. I get past the first password page fine (username and password) but then the next page comes up requesting memorable information and it is required to be entered in drop down menu format. Can 1Password cope with drop down menus? In case of help the site address is below.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with the Login for your bank. Unfortunately, because I don't have an account with the bank, I'm unable to test filling on the second page. Please try saving a new Login manually for the second page:
- Edit the login that you currently have for this website by appending an "Old" to the title - just so you can tell them apart.
- Visit the site and fill in the fields you want filled (in this case, select the appropriate details from the drop down menus). Do NOT click the login button.
- Click the 1Password extension, and unlock it if necessary.
- Click the gear icon (or vault icon if multiple vaults are enabled) in the upper right corner.
- Select Save new login.
- Give the entry a unique and identifiable title (Halifax bank: Page 2, for example)
- Click Save.
- Revisit the site and see if 1Password fills in the site correctly.
If the information requested each time is the same, this should work. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this helps. If you're still having trouble though, please let us know and we'll investigate further. :)

I tried this but unfortunately no success. It asks for three letters of a (currently ten letter) memorable information word in a drop down menu format.

Hi @warringtonmcfc,
In that case, unfortunately 1Password won't be able to fill it. Forms that ask for certain characters of a password or phrase aren't supported. Sorry!

Like @JasperP says, 1Password can't automatically fill only a few characters of a password/phrase. It may be useful to copy your memorable information word into the notes field within the item, then format it in a way that it is easier to count characters. Some people add spaces, and some include a count above or below the password/phrase. For instance:
* 5 a 3 + 7 q P n $ Z / Q r 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14
You'll also want to disable auto-submit for that Login item so you're able to manually enter required characters.
We are are looking into ways to make this simpler in the future; I'm sorry that I don't have a better answer for you right now.
