1Password not working at all [moved to email]

I just purchased 1password from the mac app store, and when i opened it i got the welcome screen, then nothing happened after i clicked on 'lets get started' button. Vault options are grayed out in the drop down menu and when i go into the preferences and try to change them, the app freezes. I installed the trial earlier today and that ran fine. I deleted everything from the trial before downloading the app store version. Running OSX 10.8.5 on 2012 mac mini.

Any ideas what the problem could be, as i don't want to feel like i've just wasted my money as i thought the trial version was really good.

    Hi guys

    the support team are on with trying to solve my case.
    I'd just like to add that i reinstalled the trial from the agilebits website and this worked fine again, even finding my dropbox data, so it appears that it is only the mac app store version i'm having trouble with.
    Is this a known problem, or is it something my end, as i have had trouble with another mac app store app not working aswell (photosync).

    i'd also like to ask if it possible to get a licence code for the website version if a solution isn't found for my problem, because i would rather have a working version than have to try and constantly play around with something that i don't think can be fixed. I can provide proof of purchase from the mac app store if needed.

    Hi @dazzw74,

    Since you've already purchased the Mac App Store version, here's information to help with licensing the website version:

    With the Mac App Store (MAS) version of 1Password 4 installed (even if it's never run), running 1Password 4.1.3 (or newer) from the AgileBits Web Store (AWS) will copy the MAS purchase receipt to use as the license for the AWS version. After that, if desired, the MAS version can be removed using Launchpad without touching any of your 1Password data.

    Briefer version:

    • Mac App Store users can now use our web store version without needing a license.

    We'll continue the discussion of any remaining issues through email, where Laura has already been helping you, and I'll close this topic so we're not getting our support wires crossed. :)
