Newbie to 1Password so I am in the early stages of updating all my existing passwords. Logged onto Verizon Fios, went to settings to change password, used the password generator, it automatically fills the "new" password box and the "confirm" password box. Message comes up the two don't match...Huh? Tried again using copy and paste...same error message.

Is there a limit on the number of characters Verison allows? Sometimes sites that do that will truncate the password without letting you know, and then they don't match internally.

This s just an idea. I don't have amFios account, so I don't know their rules, but I have had experience with a site that doesn't explain it's limits, and I've had trouble similar to what you describe.

Fios limit is 20, which is what I was putting in, but taking your suggestion I dropped it down to 15 same results, 8 same results, entered a 14 character code manually same result. Obvious it's a Verizon issue, not a 1Password problem. Thank you for the help

Success! Closed web browser initiated a fresh login, done.

Great to know! Even if the suggestion itself didn't help.
