Trying to sync using Wifi
Hi, folks. I am trying to sync iOS devices with my iMac using my Wifi account at home; the account shows up on both devices. I am following the steps on my iPad (both apps have been successfully downloaded) and when I get to the last step - Tap Done then tap Sync Now - my device shows "Enter your Master Password for _____'s Computer." When I enter my 1Password master password (you know, the one I had to enter to be on the site to begin with) I get a "Retry" message.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any insight anyone can offer...

You use some odd terminology there. When referring to WiFi you're better off calling them networks than accounts. The other is your master password decrypts your vault which is what I think you're referring to when you say site.
So all your devices are connected to the same network and the iOS devices can see the iMac (which would mean you've activated WiFI sync on the mac). It's trying to sync and you managed to get to the point where it's asking for the master password for 1Password 4 OS X. I should point out at this stage that unlike using Dropbox or iCloud, you can sync vaults via WiFi even if the master password set up on each device is different based on my limited experience. So are you sure the master password you're entering is the correct one (the one for the OS X vault) and that it's not an issue of symbols or different keyboard layouts at fault?

Yep; the next three times I tried it I am sure I'm putting in the correct master password - and I still get the same screen right back. I appreciate your suggestion but I seem to be stopped right here.

Got it! I read on one of the posts restarting my computer might help, and indeed it did. Thanks for the help.

Normally this is where a member of staff would post to say they're glad the issue is sorted.
Me? After hearing the solution I can do only one thing. Have you tried turning it off and on again? I think you'll appreciate the humour of it :))
We should never underestimate the power of a reboot haha.

Hi @smithd,
I'm the staff member who's popping in to say "I'm glad that the issue is sorted!" But, I kinda like @littlebobbytables answer better.
I hope that 1Password works smoothly for you from now on, but if you have any further questions, we're here to help.
(And all hail the power of the re-boot!) ;)
