Removing/reloading 1Password app

Deleting the app will delete all the user data associated with the app so when you reinstall it all you have to do is sync with your mac once more, As for paying for it again the short answer is no. Do you sync your iPad with iTunes on your mac? If you do the mac can keep a local copy of the app for you but even then, as long as the original app is still for sale on iTunes then it will be a free download for you as you've already purchased it. What to beware is that at some point in the future Agilebits will undoubtedly release a new version and stop selling the old one. At that point a local copy of the app would be the only way to reload it on an iOS device of yours. We're talking some unknown point in the future mind, not weeks or probably even months at a guess.

Hi @tobindia
Just to followup on what @littlebobbytables said:
- Deleting the app will delete all user data, if you are still using 1Password, please be sure that all your entries are fully synced before deleting the app.
- Once you have purchased 1Password 4 for iOS, it should always be available in the App Store > Purchases section. You will not need to purchase it again if you want to download it to your iOS device.
- Even if we do release a new version and stop offering the current one for sale in the App Store (which is how we handled the upgrade of 1Password 3 to 1Password 4 - no information yet on how future upgrades will be handled!) you can still access your purchased copy of 1Password 4 for iOS through the App Store, again in the 'Purchases' section.
I hope this helps, but we're here if you have any further questions or concerns! :)

@Megan I thought Apple removed access to downloading apps if they weren't available via iTunes? That's the impression I'd gotten from a thread somewhere around here when somebody was asking about 1Password Pro (I think it was called?) they were trying to download it for a new iOS device but couldn't? You'll notice a lot of questions marks present ;)

Nothing wrong with question marks - I use them often myself! ;) When an app is removed from the App Store, it is removed from sale only. Existing users can still download their past purchases. The only reason a user might have trouble with a new device is if they are also using a new AppleID, as purchases are tied to the AppleID that the purchase was made under. For any other difficulties in downloading an existing purchase, we would recommend contacting Apple directly (as we have no access to purchase records from the App Store), and it should get straightened out there.
