Lately, 1Password doesn't sync so much

I have 1PW on my Mac, my iPad Mini, and my iPhone 4S. I don't trust the cloud enough to sync all my devices to a file in Dropbox, so I make a COPY of the keychain I keep on my Mac and store it in Dropbox for my devices. The devices then theoretically sync to that copy. I can't get the devices to sync with the updated keychain in DropBox lately. It used to work, and now it doesn't. I've tried deleting 1PW from my iPad and then reinstalling it so it's new. I get to the part where it's downloading the encryption keys, and it takes forever and never completes. Help?

    Hi @trixiesirish‌,

    Could you let me know which versions you are using for the following?

    • OS X version (e.g. 10.9.4)
    • 1Password for Mac version (e.g. 4.4.1)
    • iOS version on both iPhone and iPad (e.g. 7.1.2)
    • 1Password for iOS version on iPhone and iPad. (e.g. 4.5.3)

    (All the versions in parentheses are the latest shipping versions).

    Once I know those I can give you a bit better advice.

    I didn't even realize this had been responded to. Does the forum send notifications when a post has been responded to? If it doesn't, I may not see this.

    Never mind - found the preferences. No, just a pop-up, which I don't understand. Preferences changed.

    If you have your notifications set to do so, you should receive an email to let you know there has been a reply. You can change them here.

    Could you let me know the version numbers of all the things I asked about before? Also, if you are copying a file to Dropbox and having the mobile devices sync to that, I presume it is a 1Password.agilekeychain file? If so, you may as well set up a direct sync to Dropbox on all devices, as that is the encrypted file format we use for Dropbox sync.

    Let me know the versions of all those things, and also the exact process you take to copy this file you are putting in Dropbox, along with the file's name.
