iOS 8, 1P tries to log in while still entering PIN

Ok, so I've got 1P on iOS 8 set to log in with a PIN (not a master password). The PIN is 8 digits long, all digits.
EVERY time I attempt to unlock 1P, it lets me type the first 4 digits, and then it attempts to unlock using my incomplete PIN; it fails, of course. On the next attempt after the failure, it allows me to enter all 8 digits and it works.

This behavior repeats every time 1P auto locks or is quit and reopened.

Don't know if this is a known bug, but if not, there it is! :)
