Help with .1p4_zip

Help me please, i have purchased ios and windows version of 1password. After i upgraded to Ios8 and 1password i am unable to sync with icloud and eventually i lost the icloud sync file, luckily i have backup file in my desktop from my ipad ends with .1p4_zip but nor desktop or ipad can read this file, how do i restore this backup please???
I am unable to login to any of my accounts because of this.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having trouble here. I'm a bit confused though. 1Password for Windows is unable to sync using iCloud - how were you previously keeping your data synced between your iOS and Windows devices? Do you currently have your 1Password database available in 1Password on your Windows machine? If so, we can set up Dropbox sync on your Windows machine and 1Password 5 for iOS can read the file in Dropbox.

Hello Megan, I have backed up my 1password file from ipad using itunes to my desktop (just incase i lose something during ios8 upgrade) and when i lost the icloud sync i went ahead and purchased 1password for windows hopping that i will be able to open these backups, all my attempt failed to read these files which ends with .1p4_zip

Thanks so much for explaining the situation. I apologize for misunderstanding earlier.

Making a backup before upgrading is a great idea. Unfortunately, at this time, the iOS app does not have the ability to restore backups. Let's take a closer look at your system:

I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Unfortunately, 1Password 4 for Windows uses a different format for backups than iOS, so we are unable to open the backup file on your Windows machine. Please send the Diagnostics Report in to our team so we can advise you better.
