Accessing 1Password from unsupported platforms?
What's a good way to do this, if any? Take, for example, Nokia. Symbian is dead and 1Password for WinPhone is barely usable. I would still like to access my 1Password data somehow. My Lumia phone doesn't have a MicroSD card slot but my Symbian phone does. I've requested making 1Password making more portable before. I understand that it isn't possible at this time due to dependency to ActiveX.
Microsoft is reportly phasing it out ActiveX. It can't come soon enough!

Hi there,
1Password does not have a dependency on ActiveX. :)
We do have 1PasswordAnywhere, which may work for you. You can read more about that here:
Thanks.

Not according to @svondutch : https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/23026/usb-drive-operation0 -
Sorry, I suppose my answer depends on the context. The OP is asking about Symbian, Windows Phone, etc. In that regard ActiveX is irrelevant. We certainly don't use ActiveX on Mac, iOS, Android, etc.

You're right about ActiveX not being on Mac,iOS, Android etc. I was hoping that 1Password could be made less platform dependent seeing that ActiveX is being phased out (unsupported). Maybe better USB support? Lion had this but was cancelled. I would hate to solely depend on the cloud.
Are you familiar with YubiKey?
I guess I wasn't clear with my OP which is to have an alternative way of accessing the data.

I have discovered some apps that can optionally be installed as anyone would, or standalone (portable mode). I hope AgileBits will take this approach to 1Password.
Scooter Software's Beyond Compare and QueTek's File Scavenger.

Possibly in the future. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
