Empty primary vault with full Dropbox secondary vault

It looks as though people have been having various flavors of this problem for a while. I upgraded 1P on my iPhone to 5, and on the Mac to 4.4.3. Could not sync with iCloud so set it up with Dropbox. Sync now works fine, but it created a secondary vault that has all the correct sync info. I do not understand the variety of workarounds that have been posted over the last 12 months or so for getting rid of the empty Primary vault. Thanks

@dleibow‌ Just to clarify, you're looking to start from a clean slate on your iPhone? That's pretty easy if you are. Here's an extract from part of their manual.

    Erase Data and Settings

Tap this option, then confirm by tapping on Erase Data in the alert that appears to delete your 1Password data from your device. Erase Data and Settings will delete all 1Password data on your device, but will not affect data already synced to other devices or sync services.

Then you will want to look at this part of the guide for setting up a new copy of 1Password when you have an existing vault being synced.

I want to end up with the app on the iphone just having a single vault.

That worked! Thanks very much. ;The part of the manual you mentioned worked. The old rule: if everything else fails, read the manual

  • Perfect. Thanks for the update!
