iPad iOS 8 WiFi sync to iMac OS X problem

I realize this is the same as a previous discussion. I have an iPad with iOS 8.0.2 and iMac with OS 10.9.5 and 1Password on both. iPad has version 5.1 and iMac has version 4.4.2. WiFi sync worked great until two days ago. Now I cannot get a sync. I tried everything in the previous discussion and nothing worked (reboots, firewalls off, etc). Message I get on iPad when I try to sync is "Unable to connect to computer" When I check the wiFi router everything is connected and working. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I have set up a local network and connected my iPad to my Mac. When I open iPassword and try to sync, the iPad drops the local network and reverts to my wireless network. This is becoming very frustrating. Help, please.

You may have to have the iPad forget your wireless network to get it to work.

If the Ad Hoc network works but your WiFi does not, there is a problem with the configuration of your home network that prevents 1Password from communicating across it.
