Feature Req: Category for Hardware

1Password has become my one-stop place for all critical information. You've done a great job of enhancing the 1Password database capabilities to include everything from bank accounts, social security, passports, and software registrations. The only thing missing that I wish for is a 'Hardware' category. I need a place to keep hardware serial numbers (lot of computer equipment, but also household items like bikes, appliances etc.), purchase and warranty data. I suppose I could fashion one of my own out of the Secure Notes category, but that seems awkward as there is other non-hardware stuff there.

So please will you make a 'Hardware' category in the next release?

I totally agree - would also like ones for stuff like Insurance policies, frequent flier accounts, etc. Or, how about just allowing users to create their own categories with fields of their choosing?

I bought the Windows and IOS versions a week ago, and have been moving my items across from Keepass. The missing category for equipment/hardware as suggested is one of the shortcomings I've noted.

I would like to know if this is coming, before risking to register many items in a substitute category, with the risk to have to do it again should the category be implemented.

Thanks for the feedback! I will add your vote for a hardware category. :)

I'm not sure if/when we will be adding a category for hardware. I would recommend entering the information into a different category.
