Outlook Web Access login and password showing up in plain text

I just ran into this, but didn't find prior mention so I thought I'd drop a note in here.

I'm not that familiar with OWA in general, but our OWA login page has a "show password" checkbox (it is not shown but it is there) that, when checked, will swap out the password input for a text input. Whenever I stored login information 1 Password stored this as 'checked', which resulted in the password being visible when entered into the form via 1 Password (which was pretty disconcerting).

If anyone else runs into this, just edit the login in 1 Password and remove the checkbox field.

  • Hi Tom,

Thanks for sharing your solution! :)

For anyone else seeing this, I will add that you need to click "show web form details" after editing the item to access the saved web form data (such as checkboxes).
