Syncing across multiple devices

You can only do shared vaults thru Dropbox currently. AFAIK no way to share vaults between iCloud accounts exist.

Good evening @OurPerrin. @thightower is correct, iCloud is currently only a personal syncing solution. If Apple ever allows us to share iCloud data between people we will certainly consider adding it to 1Password, but until then Dropbox is the only solution we offer for syncing with more than just yourself.

I am using the latest versions of 1Password on Windows 7, IOS8 and Android. I changed an attachment in my identity-item on Windows platform (picture) two times and did a sync via dropbox. On Android syncing was ok, on IOS i found attached to this identity two older versions of this picture, but not the latest one

Are other changes syncing to your iOS device? E.x. If you add a new secure note on Windows does it come to iOS, and vice versa?
The old versions of attachments not being removed from iOS is a known issue.

other changes seem to sync properly over all 3 devices

And, just to be sure, the latest version of the attachment still has not synced to iOS (but it has to Android)?

Just to clarify. I have 6 devices I want to synch 1 password with. Desktop Mac, Macbook Air, two iPads and two iPhones. There are two different iCloud accounts involved. It appears using dropbox is the only solution to synch across all the devices. My question is that I already have 1 password on these devices and currently they are not identical because we have made changes on the separate devices. Can I synch them all without losing any data or do I need to manually make them identical before the first synchronization? If I just synch via dropbox how will 1 password know which is the most current of two items and which one to change? Thanks

Hi @Jimr233, welcome to the forums!
When you first set up Dropbox sync in 1Password from one of your devices, that will create a 1Password.agilekeychain file in your Dropbox account. On your other devices, you will choose that keychain file when setting up Dropbox sync. If your data in 1Password on a device is different than the data in Dropbox, you'll be given the option to merge the vaults together.
When you choose to merge, it will compare your 1Password data on the device to the 1Password data in Dropbox, and update both so they each have all of the same information. If one has items that are missing from the other, it will copy them so they both have the same items. Nothing will be deleted unless you've specifically deleted it yourself.
If you have previously created the "same" item separately on different devices before syncing them, they will each be treated like a separate item during the sync, so it may appear those items were duplicated. Once all your devices are syncing with each other, you can go through your items and delete any duplicates/copies if you want to.
I hope this helps to explain what happens when you sync! If you have more questions about that, please let us know.
