Installation of 1Password on another Mac

The AgileBits website states: "You, your spouse and your two children living in the same household use 1Password, each on their own Mac. You can all share a single license." How do I install 1Password on my wife's Mac without being charged a new license fee?

Add 1P on her Mac, email or otherwise send her the licence file which she can then add to 1P.

I added 1P to her Mac, sent her my license file,
but do not see in her 1P a possibility to add the license:
after 1Password > License... > I get a screen: 'Please Register 1Password' with three buttons at the bottom:
Purchase - I lost my license - Enter license

• After clicking the third button I get a small screen 'license' in which is asked for Name and Key.
• So how can I import the license file???

What version of 1P are you both running? It doesn't sound to me like either 1P4 or 1P5. Is it 1P3?

Stephen_C is quite right, if you're being asked for a key that sounds like 1Password 3 (we moved to a licence file for 1Password 4).

There are two options, if she's running OS X Lion or below then she's running the most current version of 1Password that she can and we need to get you a 1Password 3 key. If she's running Mountain Lion or higher though she can run 1Password 4 or higher and then can use the licence file you already have.

Either way the single licence is all you need and we will get you sorted once we know.

i'm using 1P version 5, my wife has version 3.8.22. Her Mac runs at OS X version 10.7.5
I checked at hers for software updates, the result was that both are the latest update

Thanks for those version numbers! Your wife is using the latest version for her operating system. As @littlebobbytables‌ says, we'd be happy to hook you up with a 1Password 3 license key for her version of 1Password. I took a quick look in our back office records for a license under the email address attached to your forum account, but I was unable to find any information. If you purchased 1Password directly from our store, please let me know a few alternate names/email addresses I can search so that I can add a 1Password 3 license to your existing details. (You can send me those details via private message so that you're not posting your details in a public forum.) :)

Hi @Stefeng,

I found the email you sent us last week, and Megan replied to that email the next day with steps to add your name and email address to your license in our system (which doesn't happen automatically when 1Password is purchased as part of the Parallels bundle). She was waiting to hear back from you once you did that, but we didn't receive a response. Sorry for any confusion about that!

I looked up your license information and see that you followed her steps, so I was able to add a license for 1Password 3 for Mac. I had that sent to the email address associated with your forum account, so you should receive a separate email about that. Your wife will be able to activate 1Password 3 using the license code in that email.

I'll follow up with an email just to make sure you're all set. If you need anything else, just let us know! :)
