UX Issue that trashes entries
I'm just glad I intuited what happened... I nearly lost a couple entries because of this issue, which I would consider a bug.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open 1Password for Mac
- Focus on the search field and start typing
- Hit the key combo
Cmd-Delete
Expected result:
All contents in the search field are deleted, like in any other text field
Actual result:
First search result is moved to trash; search field is unaffected.
Desired fix:
I'm only one user, but I suspect very few users delete entries often enough to warrant a keyboard shortcut for it. I propose removing Cmd-Delete
as a key combo.
I suppose you could conditionally disable the keyboard shortcut while the search field is focused, but that seems gross.

That's interesting, I'd never thought of using Cmd-Delete in a text field before, I've only ever used it for deleting files in Finder. I've learnt something new today

Hi @listrophy,
Thanks for reporting this issue :+1:
I just filed an internal bug with your steps to reproduce. We will tackle it shortly.
Please keep an eye open for the beta build as it will first be available there
Thank you so much!
Cheers!
