wi-fi sync failed [Computer name is too long, reduce to under 25 character]
After update to 1password5 and yosemite, my wi-fi sync failed.
I added 1password5 to firewall list with "Allow incoming connections" and also I turned off mac firewall!
I tested at home, there is only one wi-fi network. So, all devices are definitely at same network.
On iPhone and ipad, Mac not shown wi-fi sync list.
Mac Version : 10.10
1Password Mac Version : 5.0.1 ( Agile Web Store )
iOS Version : 8.1
1Password Iphone Version : 5.1
By the way, my 1password mac sync window not look likes at page https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac/5/en/topic/sync-wi-fi

The first point to make is that there's nothing wrong with that window: it's just like mine.
Wifi sync seems to be proving to be a little temperamental at the moment, so don't despair. Have you tried re-booting your iOS devices and re-starting 1P mini in 1P5 for OS X (1P5 > Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini)? If not try it and see if it makes any difference.
Edit: there's another suggestion from AgileBits here.
If it doesn't help do please post again.

I tried restart before and just tried again. I restart my mac and iPhone. I restarted 1password and 1password mini but not worked.

Did you try the ad-hoc wifi network method suggested in the AgileBits post to which I linked?

Hi @fatihustundag,
Can you check your computer name under System Preferences > Sharing? We've had reports from users indicating that WiFi sync has not worked for them until they used a computer name that was shorter (say under 25 letters/numbers). We're still investigating this.
If you change the computer name, it's probably a good idea to restart 1Password as well as 1Password mini, so that it can make sure to pick up the new name.
Try this and let us know if it helps.

thanks @rickfillion
My computer name was "Fatih Ustundag's MacBook Pro" and I changed to "Fatih Ustundag's MBP". Then, sync worked.

Also, I didn't restart 1password and 1password mini at mac.
When I changed computer name, mac showed up instantly at iPhone wi-fi sync list screen.0 -
Hi @fatihustundag,
That's great news, that confirms the problem as we were exceeding the max length for the service names. We'll work on an update to try to enforce this limit or automatically truncate the name.
Thanks!

Hi @MikeT,
It happens again after 5.1 update. When I changed computer name to less than 25 chars, it works. Otherwise sync is broken.

Hi @fatihustundag,
Can you confirm for us please what specific versions of everything you're running now.
I just tested it on with my stuff and even on a computer name maxed out to OS X's limits it allowed me to successfully Wi-Fi Sync.
My test was performed with the following:
- OS X 10.10.2
- 1Password 5.1 for Mac
- iOS 8.1.3
- 1Password 5.2 for iOS
If you're running the same it might be worth rebooting everything just to see if that makes any difference. Do keep us informed

my versions are same :
OS X 10.10.2
1Password 5.1 (510035) for Mac
iOS 8.1.3
1Password 5.2 for iOSMy macbook pro computer name is "Fatih Üstündağ’s MacBook Pro". Now problem is not length, it is turkish chars at computer name. If I changed to "Fatih Ustundag’s MacBook Pro", it works.
You should check turkish chars : ö, ç, ş, ğ, ü, ı, Ö, Ç, Ş, Ğ, Ü, İ

Hi @fatihustundag,
Thanks, we'll investigate to see what's going on. It might not be available under UTF8 but it should be. I'll follow up as soon as I know more.
Bug ID #: OPM-2836

is there any change about this problem? Problem still exists.

Hi @fatihustundag,
I fixed OPM-2836 on February 19th, and so it should be included in the upcoming 1Password for Mac 5.3. I'm not guaranteeing that you won't find another way to break my code, but I fixed up a few things there.
