concealing credit card number.

Hi,
Is there any way to conceal the credit card number like any password? Sometimes users may need to copy or use their credit cards when someone is observing them and of course no one prefer to share his credit card with anyone.

  • Hi @awatad,

There is not an option to conceal your credit card number, but I'll pass your suggestion along to the developers. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi there, I've seen this request on other forums for 1password, and I'm wondering why the credit card number is still visible, while the security code is hidden. Not understanding why the number can't just have an option to reveal or conceal, like the other fields. I don't feel comfortable having my cc number visible on my screen whenever 1Password is unlocked, as screens can be hacked. Can you please at least add the option to conceal?? Love the app otherwise, but this is by far the most sensitive information I have in it....

Hi @JakeLand, we'll certainly take your viewpoint into consideration and I've added your voice to the feature request.

I suspect that this capability is a function of the web site itself since you can't hide the CC number while entering it manually.

    Hi @Plato,

I think they're just after the numbers being concealed in 1Password like we do the passwords. I see your point though, if the user is submitting the number to a website it will be in plaintext on the screen thanks to how almost every payment screen is designed.

Thanks. Yeah, I just want the CC number concealed on the screen in 1Password, like the passwords. This is the way websites usually indicate the CC number... with the last 4 digits showing. Should be an easy update, no?

    Hi @JakeLand,

Thanks for clarifying! That's what we thought you had meant, as we don't control whether or not fields on websites are concealed. We can't make any promises of course, but your feedback has definitely been added to our open ticket for this request. Thanks again for letting us know!
