In checking for updates in Onepassword for Mac, (1Password > Check for Updates), I get a pop-up which reads - "You are running the latest version of 1Password." In checking my version (1Password > About 1Password), I see I am on Version 3.8.22. It seems I am on an old version, which is why my extensions on Safari are not working, but I would like to understand why I it is telling me I am up to date before doing anything? Should I update, is there an upgrade that is less expensive than starting from scratch? I am running a family license pack.

  • Hi @whistlingmike,

1Password 4 was a brand new app (and paid upgrade), therefore the in-app updater in 1Password 3 will not update to new version for you.

The latest version, 1Password 5, can be downloaded here: https://agilebits.com/downloads

We have awesome upgrade discounts for existing 1Password users to purchase 1Password 5 for Mac. To see your upgrade options, please enter your version 3 license key here: https://agilebits.com/store/upgrade

If you do not wish to upgrade, the extension should be working fine for you. Please ensure you have version 3 of the extension. If you need any help getting the it working, please let us know.
