migrate from 1Password 3.8.22 to 5.0 on Mac

I launched 1password 5 and assumed it would automagically update my data. It did not what do i do?

    ok. More details. I am running 1 password 3.8.22 on my Yosemite Mac and 5.1 on my iOS8.1 iPhone. The data is syncing between the two via dropbox. I have just purchase 1Password 5 and would like to move my mac to 1Password 5. What is the proper procedure?

    Hi @nahtanoj,

    Where did you buy 1Password, at the Mac App Store or at our website?

    When opening 1Password 5 for the first time, you should be able to click on Awesome, let's get started on the Welcome tour and then click on I've used 1Password before, select your data file from the Dropbox folder to resume the sync with 1Password on your iPhone.

    After that, you should be all set. If not, can you tell me what you see instead?
