I used 1Password Pro 3.7.2 but, today I installed 1Password 5.1 and bought the pro features. But something is strange : After syncing, all the data are on the iPhone, but the database on the Mac contains 10 mail accounts in Accounts and, on the iPhone, 3 mails accounts are in "Mail Accounts" and 7 are in "Logins". I don't understand why they are in another category

  • Hi @jean-jacques‌

What version of 1Password for Mac do you have?

  • I use 3.8.22 on the Mac. It's the max because The Mac is a Mac Pro 2006 and can't accept a system superior than 10.7.5

  • Okay, that would explain the difference then. 1Password 3 for Mac uses different categories than 1Password 5 for iOS.

    Thanks!

  • But it's not easy to find these items, I had to search, and I can't modify an item's category on the iPhone

You can't modify an items category anywhere.

But it's not easy to find these items

I'm sorry about that. The only way to change this would be to upgrade to the latest version.

    Thanks!

  • "'m sorry about that. The only way to change this would be to upgrade to the latest version"

Sure but, as I said, It's not possible to upgrade on the Mac Pro :)

  • Perhaps it is time for a new computer. :)

In all seriousness, unfortunately that would be the only solution.

  • I bought an iMac which supports Yosemite at work. But, at home, the Mac Pro has good performances and supports many tools. I ugraded to 1Password 5 on the iPhone because the sync doesn't work via Dropbox on 1Password Pro 3.7.2, someone from AgileBits told me that it would be great to upgrade to 1Password5 for iOS, and I have read here that 1Password 5 on Mac, 1Password 5 on iOS and 1Password 3.x on Mac sync very well :)

But it's not really the case.

I know I also can keep on using 1Password Pro 3.7.2 on iOS (I kept it on the iPhone) and sync via Wi-Fi or USB.

It does. :) The only problem is 1Password 3 for Mac uses different categories than the newer products.

Only with 1Password 3 for Mac. 1Password 3 for iOS is essentially obsolete at this point:

But yes, if you are planning to keep 1Password 3 for Mac, and 1Password 3 for iOS, the only place you'll see different categories would be on 1Password 5 for Mac on your work computer.
