Question regarding 1Password connections to AWS EC2 resource

Hello,

I found a thread regarding 1Password's use of cloudfront resources, but recently saw an entry in PrivateEye that 1Password mini connected to a specific Amazon EC2 instance. Can someone from agilebits please provide additional information regarding the need for 1Password mini to access AWS EC2?

Its the mini app connecting to the Amazon instance to download rich icons for things like logins and or software items.
