Disappearing 1P Icon in Safari 8 (Yosemite)
Ever since I upgraded to Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite), with Safari 8.0, 1Password (v5.0.1, extension v4.2.5) has been flaky. Most importantly, the 1Password icon keeps disappearing from the Safari window. Turning the 1P extension off and on doesn't solve the problem. Any ideas?

@jonshow I can imagine that would be pretty annoying. Do you run more than just the 1Password extension and are you experiencing problems with any of the other extensions? Anyway, rather than just disabling and re-enabling the extension, what about removing it completely and installing a fresh copy? Worst case scenario it certainly won't worsen your situation.

Hi guys,
@littlebobbytables thanks for assisting :+1:
@jonshow, I experienced this issue with other Safari extensions too. Restarting Safari seems to fix the problem. Do this work for you?
Cheers!

Thanks for the ideas.
Tried installing a fresh copy of the extension - doesn't help.
Haven't had the problem with any other extensions, and restart doesn't seem to help.
One other piece of info - Using Safari's "View" "Customize Toolbar ...", I've added "Flexible space" and re-arranged some of the icons. Wonder if this has something to do with it.

I have exactly the same problem.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the additional details, @jonshow
I just added a few flexible spaces in the Safari tool bar and all seems to work fine for now. I will keep an eye open and see if this may reproduce the issue.
As a last resort, can you please quit Safari and reboot your Mac and see if it helps?
Thanks!
Rad

Rebooting my Mac will solve the problem when it occurs, but the problem reappears after a period of time.

Hi @jonshow,
Have you try resetting Safari's extension and database folders? It sounds like a corrupted preference somewhere in Safari. We do not have any control over how extensions are loaded in Safari, only Safari have that power.
Do you have other extensions that you need to back up data from? If you reset the Safari folders, you will need to reinstall all of them and restore data in it if they have any data. Once you do that, try this:
- Quit Safari, make sure no windows are opened
- Open a Finder window, select Go to Folder from the Go menu. Type this in the input field and then press Return:
~/Library/Safari
, don't forget the beginning~
character - Move the Databases and Extensions folders to your desktop
- Now, restart Safari, and reinstall your extensions, see if 1Password will behave properly now

Hi @Michał Czajka,
Did you reinstall the 1Password Safari extension after you deleted the database a performed the reboot?
Also, please make sure that you re-enable the extension is Safari's Preferences > Extensions.
Hope that this helps.
Please keep us posted
Cheers!

i have found the solution.... there is nothing wrong with Agilebits extension.
This is the solution:
In the Keychain Access application, look for an item named "Safari Extensions List". If found, delete it and test.
